Bana Sulman

Composer • Pianist • Storyteller

Bana Sulman (b. 1993) is a Syrian pianist and composer based in Austria. Her music blends classical influence with modern storytelling, creating expressive soundscapes that go beyond background music into deeply reflective experiences.

She began studying piano in 2006 with a classical foundation, performing in several recitals during her early years. In 2010, she expanded her musical path by creating piano covers of rock and metal songs, a practice that shaped her distinctive dynamic playing style. In 2017, she took up drums, further broadening her musical palette. By 2019, she had started composing original works, teaching herself to write for piano and multiple instruments.

Her debut album, Seven Days (2021), was a conceptual, multi-instrumental project. In 2025, she released her second album, A Journey Within — a piano-based concept album in three chapters, accompanied by a 75-page sheet music book that includes the stories behind each track and visual elements.

Today, Bana focuses on composition and musical storytelling, aiming to create works that invite listeners into introspection, beauty, and thought, where music speaks louder than words.
