Bio
Bana Sulman
Composer • Pianist • Storyteller
Bana Sulman (b. 1993) is a Syrian pianist, composer, educator, and musical storyteller based in Austria. Blending classical foundations with modern storytelling, her music creates immersive soundscapes that invite listeners beyond background listening into moments of reflection, emotion, and imagination.
She began studying classical piano in 2006, performing in recitals throughout her early musical education. In 2010, she expanded her artistic voice by arranging piano interpretations of rock and metal music, developing the expressive and dynamic style that would later define her performances. In 2017, she took up drums, further broadening her musical perspective. By 2019, she had begun composing original works, teaching herself to write for piano and multiple instruments.
Her debut album, Seven Days (2021), introduced her as a conceptual composer through a multi-instrumental work exploring the passage of time. In 2025, she released A Journey Within, a piano concept album presented in three chapters and accompanied by a 75-page sheet music book featuring the stories behind each composition alongside visual artwork.
Alongside her work as a composer and performer, Bana has taught piano to children and adults for several years, believing that music is not only something to perform, but also something to share. Through teaching, she encourages creativity, confidence, and personal expression while helping students discover their own musical voices.
Beyond the studio, Bana has built an international community through her regular TikTok livestreams, where she performs original compositions, cinematic piano interpretations, and live requests while sharing the creative process behind her music. These performances have become a place where listeners gather not only to hear music, but to experience moments of calm, connection, and reflection.
She is currently developing her next conceptual project, Pieces Of The Way, continuing her exploration of music as a language for memory, personal growth, and the shared human experience.
Today, Bana’s work centers on creating music that invites people to slow down, feel deeply, and discover stories that words alone cannot tell.
